You might be feeling anxious or stuck, questioning what comes next, or wanting a better understanding of yourself. You don’t need to have the right words before we begin.

MEET YOUR COUNSELOR
I take my work seriously, and I bring my real self to it. I want you to feel comfortable doing the same. Our relationship is an important part of the work we do together.
I grew up on the southern Oregon coast and am a member of the Tolowa Dee-Ni Nation. Before counseling, my work took me through public education, teaching abroad, and port administration. Those experiences shaped my appreciation for the many different ways people build meaningful lives.
Outside of counseling, I’m a USCG licensed captain and sailing instructor. Outside of work, I enjoy sailing on the Columbia River and spending time with my dogs.
HOW I WORK
Therapy is a conversation we shape together. I’ll bring curiosity and perspective, and we’ll keep returning to what matters to you.
We’ll talk about what’s happening in your life and what you want to understand or change. You can show up uncertain, skeptical, or without a plan.
We can look at how past experiences and relationships influence the present, including patterns that may no longer serve you.
We’ll explore your values, the choices available to you, and what a meaningful next step might look like in your actual life.
My work draws on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, existential therapy, and psychodynamic perspectives.
THE PRACTICAL DETAILS
Sessions take place online, so you can meet from a private, comfortable space in Oregon or Washington.
Ask about availability & coverageA consultation gives us a chance to meet, talk about what you’re looking for, and decide whether working together feels right.
I accept insurance through Rula for online counseling in Oregon and Washington. Rula helps verify your benefits and estimate your session cost before you begin.
These are the insurers and networks named in Rula’s published nationwide lists. Availability for sessions with me depends on your state and specific plan; please confirm coverage before scheduling.
Kaiser members may need a referral. Rula also works with select Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and managed Medicaid plans; coverage for these programs requires individual confirmation.

A FEW COMMON QUESTIONS
We’ll spend time getting to know one another, talking about what brought you here, and exploring what you hope to get from counseling. You don’t need to prepare a speech or tell your whole story at once.
I work with individual adults, especially those navigating mild to moderate anxiety or depression, LGBTQ+ concerns, life transitions, and addiction. A consultation helps us decide whether my approach fits what you need.
We meet by video. You’ll need a reliable internet connection, a device with a camera and microphone, and a private space. You must be physically located in a state where I’m licensed at the time of our session.
You’re welcome to bring that uncertainty. The free consultation is a chance to ask questions and get a sense of what working together could be like, without committing to ongoing sessions.
Yes. We can discuss fees before you schedule. If you’re paying without insurance, you can request a Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of care.
